Lova Marjan Rens Master’s Thesis Award

Every two years, Lova awards the Lova Marjan Rens Master’s Thesis Award. This award is granted to the best three Master’s theses in the field of feminist anthropology completed in the previous two years at an academic institution in the Netherlands. The award consists of 500 euros for the first prize and 100 euros for the second and third prize winners. The three award winners are invited to publish an article based on the thesis in Lova Journal.

Marjan Rens was a cultural anthropologist, development worker, and active Lova member. She died in 1998 at the age of 39. Through the Marjan Rens Foundation, relatives and friends of Marjan continue and honor her work.
